Flying fishes
The complete lack of wind is lasting now since 5 days. Forecasts are contradictory and we are eagerly looking for a breeze without success so far. We decided to motor at a very low pace, following a course to south, where the Trade Winds should sooner or later establish more stably. This morning we approached a catamaran; in a conversation over VHF they shared they were having a problem with one of the two engines. We felt bad we were not able to offer any wise suggestion on how to diagnose the problem. The great hit if the day was sighting a number of flying fishes. At a first glance, we wondered if they were birds, but after seeing them disappearing into the water, we realized they were true flying fishes. Yesterday we caught our second Dorado, 1.5k kg. It is a great addition to our fresh food reserve that is lowering with the days going by. 🙂
Flying fish are a good omen. They will bring the wind. We are eating in a restaurant on the water in CT and although it is raining there is a strong wind. We will do the wind dance to send un buon vento your way. Sail ON!

How lucky are you for seeing flying fishes and catching a dourado on the same day? Wonderful! Enjoy the food with such a view, my friends. I hope the winds come back to take you to new days of adventure! Keep sending us news.
