Back in 2016, as part of the major refitting work to prepare ZOE for our round-the-world journey, we decided to get a completely new set of navigation and communication instruments. We wished to have a single brand providing all electronics to avoid compatibility issues. To make an informed decision we spent 3 days at the METZ, the largest European exhibition for boats part organized in November in Amsterdam. After visioning and evaluating the products of the major suppliers of electronic instruments, we opted for Raymarine as our provider of choice. After years of intensive use and an ocean crossing we can say it was an excellent choice – both for the equipment that supported us very well in long and challenging passages as well as for the excellent Raymarine’s service level.
Following is the installation scheme and the photos of the installed products.
